The submission window for the Cardio Sim Creator Competition is now closed.
Competition Overview
This exclusive competition highlights educational innovation from health
care professionals or teams. Eligible submissions showcase original work
that identifies and solves specific problems, enhances user skill sets and
advances training in the field.
Submission Requirements
Individuals and teams were invited to submit a 3–5 minute video
demonstrating their simulation, simulator or game, along with the
following information:
Problem Solving and Efficacy: Explain the goal of the
simulation or simulator and how it addresses the problem or question it
was created to resolve.
Skillsets Targeted: Clearly describe the specific
skills or learning objectives the simulation or simulator is designed to
teach.
Intended Audience: Define the target audience and the
educational applicability of the simulation or simulator.
Assessment Metrics and Competency Evaluation: Describe
the criteria, measurements or assessment techniques used to evaluate
learning outcomes and participant competency.
Significance and Integration: Highlight the importance
of the simulation or simulator within the broader training context and
explain how it integrates into existing educational programs or systems.
Eligibility Criteria
Licensed Healthcare Professional: Submissions must be
made by a licensed healthcare professional, such as a physician, nurse,
advanced practice provider, technician or allied health professional.
Submissions from companies or commercial entities are not eligible.
Originality of Work: The simulator must represent the
original work of the submitting provider, either individually or in
collaboration with an academic or clinical team.
Award and Presentation Opportunity
The winner will be announced in the first week of November and will be
invited to present their simulation or simulator at ACC.26. The winner
will also be offered a faculty appointment in the Personalized Skills
Zone (PSZ).
